We’d been looking forward to Friday for a long time here at WBZL. After a year of planning, Georgiann and Jamie were all set to hold their wedding at Tylney Hall in Hampshire and we were getting to work with some of our favourite suppliers including the fantabulous Kerry Morgan. Being the all round rock star that she is, Kerry has already put some of the images up on her blog, so here’s a little sneak peek into the day’s events.
The design theme to the day was simple, relaxed and elegant which really reflected the personalities of Jamie and Georgiann. The florals were created by the lovely Julie at Moutan Flowers and all of the arrangements encorporated herbs and so smelt delicious.

The couple are originally from the United States and Canada and their guest list followed suit. As such, part of the wedding’s design was to encorporate some quintessentially ‘English’ details some of which were umbrellas and wellies; not a great PR job for the UK!

Right at the outset, Georgiann had mentioned how much she’d love to hold the ceremony outdoors. Of course with the famous British weather nothing is ever certain. The forecast was dubious and during setup we had to contend with flash downpours but as everyone got in postion for the ceremony, the grey clouds parted and the sunshine burst through. It really was a little bit magical!

One of the subthemes running through the day was trees. The ceremony was held under beautiful old tree and the Hello!Lucky stationery featured a chestnut tree motif. Rather than a table plan we used escort cards and wrapped them around a big, beautiful chestnut tree close to the banquetting space. It looked really cute fluttering in the wind.

Georgiann and I worked hard to find the best tasting cupcakes in London (this was obviously a huge chore) and it was great to hear so many of the American and Canadian guests saying how delicious the Hummingbird Bakery cupcakes were. The couple chose vanilla, black bottom and red velvet.

Georgiann’s hair and makeup was done by Antonia at Elle au Naturel. Antonia did such a great job, Georgiann looked breathtaking and what’s more her look lasted perfectly all day.

A big thank you to all the suppliers who worked so hard to make Friday happen so smoothly! Check out Kerry’s blog for a few more images.

Another sneak peek into Stephanie and Richard’s beautiful winter wedding at London’s Haymarket Hotel. Pictures courtesy of the fabulous Ken Buist.
Bridesmaid’s shoes

Flower girl’s pomander and bridesmaid’s bouquet. You can’t see it here but the pomander had a lovely twinkly handle c/o Euphoric Flowers

Stephanie’s dress was by Pronovias. It was stunning.

As the wedding was just a few days before Christmas, the favours were Christmas Tree decorations tied with ribbon. The ribbon matched the bridesmaid’s dresses perfectly!

More to come…

I wanted to share with you some more of the details from Stephanie and Richard’s wedding, specifically the stationery. This was all sourced from Borrowed Blue Press and absolutely beautiful.
Invitation (which came in a beautifully lined envelope):
Inside the invitation:
Snowflake motif:
The snowflake motif also appeared on the table names, place cards and table plan, perfect for the contemporary winter theme.
Menu cards:
Stephanie and Richard also chose orders of service that featured the silver flower paper and which were tied with matching silver ribbon.
All the different pieces of stationery matched perfectly, giving the day a real continuity and so many guests commented on just how beautiful the stationery was!

So we’re taking things super slowly today after Stephanie and Richard’s fabulous winter wedding on Saturday. More pictures and words to follow but for now I just wanted to share this picture of the swimming pool area at The Haymarket Hotel where the evening reception took place. Guests were literally gasping with amazement as they entered this very special space.

A few weeks ago I mentioned Susie and Tom’s gorgeous autumn wedding. Well today I’m *super* excited to share a small selection of the professional photographs taken by the lovely Ben at Touch Photography.

Susie’s dress was stunningly beautiful. With tuelle and sparkling diamantes galore, every now and then I’d walk past a group of ladies whispering about just how stunning she looked.

Dried leaves were strewn down the aisle and chocolate bars were placed on ceremony seats to help pass the time before the bride arrived.

One of my favourite aspects of the wedding day itself is meeting clients’ family and close friends. The bridesmaids, best man and ushers at Tom and Susie’s were amongst some of the nicest and funniest I have ever worked with. I love this picture of the best man Chris, totally caught up in the emotion of the ceremony. Chris later went on to do a best man’s speech that absolutely brought the house down!

Stay tuned, more to come…
